Welcome!

New Deer Community Association was formed in 1956. The management committee is made up of 6 public members and representatives of 27 groups and clubs from the village and surrounding rural area. The committee is responsible for all matters relating to financing, maintaining and improving the Community Park and Public Hall.
This facility includes:
In 2003 the Community Association carried out an extensive community consultation using Planning for Real®. Leisure & environment issues made up over 50% of the total feedback. Top of the list of priorities was the provision of an All Weather Sports Surfaces. The Football Club require their existing changing facilities to comply with 21st century expectations and legislation.
- The All Weather Facility will have C.C.T.V surveillance
- 2 Officials Rooms. One will contain a disabled toilet
- Committee Room is multi-purpose with kitchen facilities and serving hatch
- 2 Storage Rooms for equipment needed for both surfaces
- 1 Foyer with 2 public Toilets
- Ground Source Heat Pump
- Solar Panels
- 4 Changing Rooms to allow for sports to be played simultaneously on the grass and the all weather surface
An area in the Community Park has been identified for this amenity. At present in the middle of the proposed site are the out of date Changing Facilities. The area surrounding the hut has been redundant and is not large enough to serve a useful purpose. By demolishing the existing Changing Facilities, this area would accomodate a 30 x 40 metre All Weather Surface. New Deer Community park is owned by the community and the land designated for this project is valued at £20,000. -
